A Deciem Miracle

My life has been exhausting the last few months and while doing the usual walking and moaning with my dear friend and our beauty editor Lauren, about the lack of sunshine London has to offer and the fact my skin from all the flying and stress was as dry as a desert. She promptly dragged me up the road to the Shoreditch branch of Deciem saying you need ‘hyaluronic acid’. “Well of course” I smirked. I had never heard of hyaluronic acid let alone Deciem, and for someone who was a total Crème de La Mer convert, I new it was going to be a stretch to make me try anything new.

To give you a bit of background Deciem: They name themselves ‘The Ordinary beauty company’ and We’re founded on the principle of doing everything others don’t do and the plan is to change the world of beauty based on that principle.

They started trading in 2013. Now own and operate more than 10 brands in the beauty world. Some of these brands have already become leaders in their focused categories while some are still waiting impatiently to be born.

Stepping into the store it’s like apothecary, The Ordinary brand to the left the rest to the right.

My suggestion would be to start with ‘The Ordinary’ brand as most products are around £4 to £7. The products are a million time better than your average low priced boots products so it’s a good starting point.

However I quickly moved to NIOD range which stands for ‘Non-invasive options in Dermal Science’ it seems to suit my skin better. The price point is a little more higher, but I love it. I know this may come as a surprise to the people that know me, but I am now addicted. I go shopping and buy a new product about once a week just to try something new. I have converted most family and friends and now it’s your turn to give it a try.
