AW 13/14

Press days are happening thick and fast as designers are keen to show what they have on offer for AW 13/14. Fashion Forensics, were invited to the Vivienne Westwood press day to view the Gold label, the Red label, and the Anglomania range. Each range was very typical for Vivienne Westwood, perfect with enough flare to transform a room.

My favourite of the ranges is the Red Label as it feels more accessible to daily life- With some very simply tailoring and exquisite overcoats the Red Label is a true must have if you can afford it. The true passion and creativity of the range almost makes you look forward to the autumn again.

I have rarely been up close and personnel with the Gold Label, and it truly was a delight. Simply perfect red carpet dress showed just what Vivienne Westwood really can do, and even though the dress where hung of slightly scruffy hangers, it was easy to lose yourself in a world of decadences.

We then literally popped across the road to the True Religion press day, which was a very different vibe but had some more exciting news.

The regular jeans stayed the same, but finally True Religion have created a much needed light weight jean which looks to be called something along the lines of ‘The Italian Range’ watch this space for the exact name. The jean material is softer and lighter weight than the previous styles- making them more of an every day item. To finish off a great jean they really have tried to encapsulate the epitmany of Italy by keep lavish branding to a minimum. “To be honest exactly what I have been waiting for from this brand”.

For the men the Baseball jacket is here to stay, but for the first time a very adorable girls range has emerged, due for launch in Selfridges very shortly a California surfer sheek girls range is super cute and I can image will sell fast.
