It’s Ascot Time

Royal Ascot is a matter of moments away and it seams the weather is here to play; Wednesday is suggested to be a scorching 26 degrees and poring with rain.

Its going to make for an interesting outfit choice, How do you dress for the weather, keep your sense of style and conform to the rules?

Weather you are in the Royal enclosure or not I would always try and dress according to the rules as the ‘Only Way is Essex’ maybe an entertaining watch but its certainly not entertaining to see especially at events such as ‘Royal Ascot’.

The Guidelines or Rules are as follows for the Royal Enclosure:

  • Ladies should wear a formal day dress or skirt and top. Dress and skirts should of a modest length defined as falling just above the knee or longer.
  • Straps on dresses and tops should be at least 2.5cm wide. Strapless of the shoulder halter necks and spaghetti straps are not permitted and midriffs must be covered.
  • Trousers suits are welcome but should be full length and have matching material.
  • Hats are to be worn and, headpieces with a 4cm diameter are permitted, but fascinators are not

So the question is where to turn and what to buy? On occasions like this I always look to my trusty favourite Diva catwalk, there simple fashionable and demure designs make for the ultimate outfit.

Unfortunately it looks like it’s going to rain but an umbrella can make for a cute accessory ASOS and all your online retailers normally offer a good selection.

Enjoy the Rain

As you will be on grass and its looks like it will rain at some point a wedge show is always a good idea, nothing to high or chunky, as the name of the game is elegance. It may seem more expensive to buy a decent pair of shoes but they will last the test of time. I have wedge shoes that are 10 years old- They are still as fashionable as they were then.

But New look really have stolen the crown when it comes to affordable and fashionable take a look.
