Master a traditional skill under Lockdown with Yodomo

Yodomo is an online learning platform offering simple to follow courses in traditional making skills such as weaving, macrame, bookbinding, sugarcraft etc – many of them are family- friendly and a lot of them are free.

Yodomo also sells kits, containing everything you need to follow many of the courses. The kits come beautifully wrapped, so can be sent to loved ones under Lockdown (in fact, Yodomo will include a personal message on the gift card too). Kit options include Calligraphy, Candle making, Sourdough bread-baking and many more. Not only does traditional making give you a moment of mindfulness in these challenging times, but you’ll be able to create a keepsake to remind you. And obviously, you’ll be learning a skill for life.

Yodomo has also been running ‘Crafting Hour’ on their Instagram page between 4-5pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, hosting free ‘live makes’ including sewing Fu Masks from fabric scraps or making floral headpieces. Check out Yodomo’s recent collaboration with Hoxbox, a super cute WFH Kit, with a box to put away your laptop, so that you can enjoy one of the included crafting kits.
